Building on Your Foundation
Have a voice in the profession of pharmacy, alumni community and at the College by serving on the STLCOP Alumni Association Board of Directors!
Board members pursue STLCOP’s direction and goals, advocate its vision of the future, and tackle special assignments as needed. Board leadership makes a difference not just to the College but to our profession as a whole. STLCOP has been in the forefront of pharmacy for nearly 150 years, and the College is continuing its history of leadership with progressive education and research programs designed to advance patient care. We’re committed to building upon STLCOP’s leadership role in pharmacy—and we’d like you to join us.
So what does board membership entail? First, you need to be elected to the 17-director board. Every alumnus is eligible to seek one of the board’s two-year director positions, as well as to nominate and vote for candidates for the post. Board members may serve up to three consecutive terms and elect a slate of board officers.
Once you’re a member, you’ll meet four times a year with the rest of the board. You’ll help establish the strategic direction of the alumni association and develop goals and objectives. You’ll serve on at least one standing board committee, helping establish policy or develop goals and objectives. You’ll work with the Office of Alumni Relations staff members on long-range planning. And you’ll support the alumni association and the College, representing all alumni and encouraging attendance at alumni events.
Simply put, you’ll support the STLCOP alumni and professional network that is the foundation of our pharmacy education leadership. Add your voice to STLCOP’s professional leadership and take a closer look at our field’s future. Click here to view our current Alumni Association Board of Directors.
